SESSIONS COURT CASE REGISTRATION UNIT

A. CRIMINAL

  •  
  • Regulating the staff of the Criminal Sessions Court Registry.
  • Issuing Arrest Warrants, Search Warrants, and other applications from the authorities and signing Arrest Warrants, Orders, Orders to present, Summons, register books and other related matters, including bail matters for arrest cases.
  • Managing the preparation of statistics for the Perak Criminal Sessions Court.
  • Signing and approving subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses to Court for trial.

B. CIVIL

  • Regulating the staff of the Civil Sessions Court Registry.
  • Approve all clean drafts/orders for Sessions Court cases.
  • Approve all drafts/clean judgments for Sessions Court cases.
  • Approve all cases of Writ of Distress and Summons of Judgment Debtor and Writ of Execution for the Court of Session.
  • Approving the registration of new Civil Sessions Court cases.
  • Hearing cases for first-time Case Management for the Civil Sessions Court and Civil Magistrate's Court (accident cases) as directed by the Perak Civil Supervisory Judge.
  • Managing the preparation of statistics for the Perak Civil Sessions Court.

 

CORONER

  1. Receive, review and consider sudden death report files
  2. Make a verdict whether it is necessary to conduct a death investigation proceeding (inquest) or not
  3. Hearing the inquest proceedings and making a verdict/decision on the causes of death.
  4. Seeing and examining the bodies of those who died in custody and preparing notes/minutes

 

Ipoh Magistrate's Court

CIVIL

  1. Handle Civil Case Management through Ereview and CMS systems
  2. Recording Default Judgments and Consent Judgments
  3. Hearing and disposing of civil cases.
  4. Giving the results of interlocutory applications and full hearings
