CIVIL MAGISTRATE'S COURT REGISTRATION UNIT
- Regulates the staff of the Civil Magistrates Court Registry.
- Approve all drafts/ clean orders for Magistrate Court cases.
- Approve all drafts/clean judgments for Magistrate Court cases.
- Approve all Distress Writs and Judgment Debtors' Summons and Writs of Execution for the Magistrate's Court.
- Approving the registration of new Civil Magistrate Court cases.
- Managing the preparation of Civil Magistrate Court statistics
CRIMINAL MAGISTRATE'S COURT REGISTRATION UNIT
- Regulating the staff of the Criminal Magistrates Court Registry
- Issuing Arrest Warrants, Search Warrants and other applications from the authorities and signing Arrest Warrants, Orders, Orders to submit summons, register books and other related matters including bail matters for arrest cases
- Signing and approving subpoenas for the attendance of witnesses to Court for trial
ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT
- Managing the division of work among staff.
- Supervise the efficiency and smoothness of the tasks that have been entrusted to each staff member.
- Checking case register books, records, relevant statements and so on
- Responsible for checking and supervising documents such as appeal records, daily reports of civil, criminal and departmental suits, semi-trial case records and checking monthly statistics.
- Supervise the welfare of subordinate staff.
- Supervise the cleanliness of the outside and inside of the Court.
- Supervises discipline, attendance records, attendance records and ethics of Court staff.
- Supervise Court counter services.
- Supervise the Court registry office.
- Supervise the mailing list.
- Supervise Court assets and stores.
- Supervise the disposal of Court files.
- Approving leave requests for supervised staff.
FINANCIAL UNIT
- Certifying and signing payment vouchers and all financial matters involved
- Certify certain officers to collect revenue, sign payment vouchers, local orders, journal vouchers, travel claims and financial matters involved.
- Responsible for checking the Court's financial records.
- Conduct surprise inspections of financial records.
